GUNS N' ROSES' 'Not In This Lifetime' Tour Has Grossed More Than $580 Million
November 22, 2019According to Billboard, GUNS N' ROSES' "Not In This Lifetime" tour has grossed $584.2 million from 5,371,891 tickets sold at 158 concerts across six continents. The trek, which began three and a half years ago, concludes as the No. 3 highest-grossing tour in the history of Billboard Boxscore.
Launched in April 2016, "Not in This Lifetime" features classic-lineup members Slash, Duff McKagan and singer Axl Rose backed by guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer, keyboardist Dizzy Reed and second keyboardist Melissa Reese.
At least four other tours have topped $500 million in sales: U2's "360", THE ROLLING STONES' "A Bigger Bang", Ed Sheeran's "Divide" and COLDPLAY"A Head Full Of Dreams".
According to Pollstar, "Not In This Lifetime" topped $82 million in sales during 2018 alone, having grossed an average of $3.7 million per show over the course of the 24-date run.
About 70 people travel with the "Not In This Lifetime" show in addition to the truck drivers; that number goes upwards of five hundred, including the local workers, by show date once catering, security, etc. are factored in, according to the GN'R tour's production manager, Dale "Opie" Skjerseth.
GUNS kicked off its long-rumored and long-awaited reunion tour with a club show in Hollywood and appearances in Las Vegas and at California's Coachella festival.
